They have access to blood tests, and specialized testing such as hormone panels, allergy tests, and comprehensive stool testing. Treatments include nutrition, herbs, acupuncture, homeopathy, and lifestyle counselling. Dr. Wiens offers Bowen Therapy for pain.

Dr. Wiens is a licensed naturopathic physician with additional certification in acupuncture and Bowen therapy. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Cell Biology and Genetics from U.B.C. She received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, B.C. in 2007.
Dr. Wiens is passionate about helping others to achieve optimal health, for themselves and their families. She strives to find and treat the underlying cause of illness, taking health care beyond just getting rid of bothersome symptoms. She is a caring physician who is excited to help you with your health goals.
Dr. Wiens lives in Summerland where she enjoys time with her husband and three daughters.

She received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, B.C. in 2007. She has completed 3 levels of additional training in Bowen Therapy from the Bowtech Institute of Australia.

Dr. Wiens has been in practice in Penticton since 2008, more than 16 years. She was voted Best Naturopathic Doctor in the South Okanagan in 2018 (and consecutive previous years) in Okanagan Life Magazine, and received silver 2021/2022 and then gold for 2023 in the Penticton Now 'Best of Penticton' awards.

Bowen Therapy
A gentle hands on technique that is used to treat chronic pain or injury. It 'resets' the nervous system to restore alignment of the spine, joints, nerves, and soft tissue.
Acupuncture
Traditional Chinese Medicine offers a valuable view on health and balance. Acupuncture restores qi and blood flow along meridians. This allows for a tune up of organ systems, and also balances the mood, and speeds recovery from injury.
Herbal Medicine, Nutrition, Supplements, Homeopathy, Counselling, Gyn exams (PAPs)

Specialized lab tests
In addition to the lab tests available at the local labs, Naturopathic Doctors can order specialized testing from private labs. This includes comprehensive stool testing for good bacteria, parasites, and markers of inflammation, food allergy panels of 100 foods, mold exposure testing, and full hormone profiles by blood, urine, or saliva.
